That Sinking Feeling

I woke this morning with that horrible sinking feeling that this cycle didn't work. Now before you tell me I'm silly and that it's too early to know, I have my reasons.

The dreaded AF is due tomorrow. My cycles have shortened in the past few months and AF has been visiting regularly on day 26, which is tomorrow. Always before my period, I get a headache. Well yesterday the headache arrived.

When I did get pregnant last summer, my breasts were incredibly tender. This morning, the tenderness wasn't there. They've been tender since I started my stimulation and suddenly, it stopped.

In this stupid journey I've had tons of time to reflect in how many body feels. Everything I'm feeling tells me it didn't work.

I sincerely hope that I'm wrong. Please let me be wrong.

  1. On the cycle that I did get pregnant I felt the same way and on the cycles where I thought I might be...I never was. Thinking of you! ((HUGS))

  2. Symptoms are hugely decieving. Even what you felt the first time you got pregnant need not be the symptoms you will feel this time around. My symptoms during my chemical/BFN were nothing like during my successful cycle.

I know this waiting is so hard! I am still holding out a TON of hope for you. Stay strong! (Hugs)

  3. I was just thinking of you and wondering if you broke down and tested today (5dp5dt, right?). I was sad to see this post, but can completely relate. I've had a near symptomless pregnancy and have often, until about 20 weeks, doubted that I was actually pregnant despite half a dozen u/s that proved otherwise. IF can really do a number on one's head, especially after a loss. Hang in there and know that there is still hope. Praying for you and your embies.

  5. I sincerely hope you're wrong too but I understand what you're saying about feeling a certain way. We do get to see the patterns after a while.
